Shawn Bergeron

Shawn Bergeron was elected to the position of Regional Vice-President in
2002 and re-elected to this position in 2005. He is responsible for the
Regina Local, all three Locals in Winnipeg and representation of members in Brandon.
Union Involvement
Shawn, throughout his work experience, has been a member of various Unions
prior to the Union of Taxation Employees. Prior to his election as RVP
in 2002, he was Vice President of Local 50031 for two years. Prior to becoming
RVP, Shawn was appointed Alternate Regional Vice-President replacing a long
time Union activist Jim Garwood. In 2003, he
completed the PSAC Union Development Program for Leaders.
Union Committees
Shawn is Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Committee and is a member
of the Harassment Committee. He has been a member of the Technological
Change committee and a co-chair of the
National EAP committee.
