Pamela Abbott
Regional Vice-President

Pamela was elected Regional Vice-President for the Pacific Region in 2002
and was re-elected in 2005. She is responsible for the Penticton local, Victoria
local, Northern Yukon Local, Surrey Tax Center Local, Burnaby Fraser Local,
Vancouver local and the Kelowna local.
Union Involvement
Since 1992, Pamela has been actively involved with the Union in various capacities. She was elected Steward of the Penticton local in 1992 and subsequently elected President of that same Local in 1994. She held this position until July 2002. She was elected Alternate Regional Vice-President in February 2002 and elected to her current position at the 2002 Triennial Convention. She has been an appeals representative for the PSAC and U.T.E. since 1993.
Committees
Pamela is the President of the Technological Change Committee.
Pamela is also a member of the Staffing Committee and of the Bargaining
Committee. She previously sat on the Finance Committee and the Honours and
Awards Committee. Pamela has been a member of the UTE Convention Finance Committee
at the last two conventions.
Pamela is currently employed in the Southern Interior Tax Service Office located in Penticton.
