Denis Lalancette

2nd National Vice-President

Denis Lalancette was first elected 2nd National Vice-President of the Union of Taxation Employees in 1996, was re-elected to this position for a fourth mandate. He is responsible for Collective Bargaining portfolio.

Union Involvement

Denis has been involved in various positions with the union since 1983. He was the President of the Jonquière local from 1986 to 1990 and Regional Vice-President of the Québec Region from 1990 to 1996. He was also chairperson of various standing committees such as the WFA Committee, The By-Laws Committee and the Bargaining Committee. He was a member of the National Health and Safety Committee.

Committees

Denis is presently responsible for bargaining. As such, he is the Chair of the Standing Bargaining Committee, Chair of the National Bargaining Committee and a members of the PSAC/CCRA bargaining team. He is also member of the PSAC/CCRA Strike Coordination Committee and the National Joint Strategy Committee. Denis is also a member of the WFA Committee and the Honours and Awards Committee. He is also a member of the Executive Committee.

Denis is currently employed at the Jonquière Tax Services Office.
